Critical Response

1. Both pictures capture motion and are in black and white. Both show the differnt stages of motion and how the object moves.

2. The carriage series of pictures represent motion by showing how the horse gallops and the way that it moves. The photographer takes photos at different stages ans when put together they show the motion captured. The photographer uses freeze frame to capture the motion. The photo of the man descendig the stairs represents motion by showing the movement of the man as he goes down the stairs. It shows each stage of his movement as he takes a step.

3. The purpose of each photograph is to show how the object moved over a short amount of time. They both show the pattern of motion. It is obvious by looking at the pictures that this is each photographers purpose.
